We visited Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa to celebrate my partners birthday and had a fantastic day from start to finish. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the staff. Every single person we met was welcoming, friendly and professional. From the warm welcome at reception, to the lady who showed us around the spa, the team who served our afternoon tea, and the therapists who gave us our full body massages, everyone genuinely made us feel looked after and helped make the day feel really special. The spa facilities were clean, relaxing and well maintained, and the massages were excellent. Afternoon tea was delicious, and a special thank you to Niamh, who was incredibly helpful before our visit and kindly rearranged our afternoon tea time to make our day flow perfectly. The only small issue was that we realised after we got home that we hadn’t been served the complimentary glass of champagne included in our package. It was clearly just an oversight and certainly didn’t detract from what was otherwise a wonderful experience. We had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa to others. Thank you to the whole team for making my partner’s birthday such a memorable one.

The hotel is located in a historic castle, with interiors that beautifully preserve the elegant details of the period. The grounds are wonderful — perfect for walks and for escaping the city atmosphere. Breakfast comes with a stunning view, which makes the experience even more special. The standard rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the soundproofing could be improved. The spa is fairly standard; however, the changing room is quite small, and the shower area lacks basic conveniences such as space to put personal belongings or hooks for towels. Personally, I didn’t feel comfortable having to step out of the shower without a towel in a busy shared area. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and everything else was excellent.

Just returned from a lovely and relaxing spa break. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea in the library and the staff made sure our dietary requirements were met. Breakfast was also lovely and plenty. We made use of the spa facilities. Clean and convenient. Recommend early morning visits for quieter experience.

I’ve stayed at Nutfield Hotel & Spa twice now as part of a staff stay while training, and on both occasions Norbert has delivered exceptional room service. His attention to detail is outstanding, and every order has arrived perfectly presented and exactly as requested. What really makes the experience special is his fantastic personality. Norbert is always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely bubbly, bringing a positive energy that makes guests feel valued. It’s clear that he takes great pride in his work, and his customer service goes above and beyond. Staff like Norbert are a real credit to the hotel. Thank you for making both of my stays even more enjoyable – I look forward to returning!
